The Marchese Company brings together a group of talented professionals with the highest level of expertise in the following areas necessary to navigate the entitlement process: government relations, land use planning, architecture,communications/media, and law. TMC specializes in strategic planning, facilities and organization development, political negotiation, government relations and project management services to the health care industry, private business and public service organizations. With the strategic skills necessary to successfully steer a complex project through the entitlements process, The Marchese Company also specializes in community outreach, responding to and mitigating community concerns.

Ralph Marchese
Ralph Marchese is the principal and owner of The Marchese Company. For over 35 years he has provided a broad range of real estate development management services for large and complex projects in the Bay Area. He is a former Chair of the Planning Commission for the Town of Corte Madera, an advisor to the Catholic Youth Organization and an expert in health services and health planning. Mr. Marchese has an undergraduate degree from Montclair State College and has studied at the graduate level at the New School for Social Research and San Francisco State University.
Robert Passmore
Bob Passmore is an urban planner with over 50 years of experience in both the public and private sectors. He was the City and County of San Francisco’s Zoning Administrator and Assistant Director of Planning for over 25 years and is considered perhaps the foremost authority on the City’s complex zoning code. His zoning determinations and variance decisions have helped shape the face of San Francisco’s land use patterns. He is a qualified expert witness in land use and zoning. For The Marchese Company, Mr. Passmore specializes in the entitlement aspects of development projects as well as in the navigation of the City’s legislative and political process. Prior to entering the planning field Mr. Passmore was an architectural instructor at Penn State University and designed a number of buildings. He has a Master’s degree in urban planning from the University of California and a Bachelor of Architectural Engineering from Penn State University.
Rich Lowry
Rich Lowry is involved with project programming and building services. He is an Architect and has worked on a wide variety of health-care, institutional and commercial projects over the past 52 years. In his 16 years with The Marchese Company he participated in development management of a retirement community, resolving unreinforced masonry problems on church buildings, and participated in the St. Mary’s Chinese School project on the International Hotel Site. He worked for 17 years at KMD Architects as project architect on six hospitals. Prior to that Mr. Lowry worked on Chinese Hospital and the Marin County Civic Center. He has a Bachelor of Architecture from Stanford University and was a 1st Lt. in the US Army Corps of Engineers.
Maple Ching
Maple Ching is a valued member of The Marchese Company. Her background in database management, data entry and project coordination have prepared her to succeed in her current position. She is responsive, efficient and reliable, supplementing her day-to-day activities with various tasks that allows for the company’s efficient operations. Maple is sensitive to the ever-changing needs of the company, and she excels at finding opportunities to improve the company’s workflow. Maple is fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese, and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from California Polytechnic State University.
